Born in Brooklyn, NY, to a military family Michelle Betts has lived all over the United States. Ms. Betts has extensive expertise and experience in retail and customer service which she has used in many capacities as a sorting, pricing, and merchandising volunteer in The Shops at The Caring Place since 2019. A resident of Austin for 32 years, Ms. Betts and her husband moved to Georgetown in 2018. She loves to travel and is also part of a Hot Air Balloon Chase Team. Ms. Betts is committed to teamwork and dedicated to The Caring Place’s mission.

Born in Vicenza, Italy, Chuck Collins grew up in Denver and has lived in Georgetown since 2001.  He served in the United States Air Force for ten years and was stationed in Grand Forks, ND, RAF Chicksands, England, and Abilene, Texas. Mr. Collins graduated from Texas A&M, Corpus Christi, where he earned a degree in Management, Information Systems.  Currently, the Executive Director of GTX Connect, Mr. Collins has worked for various corporations including British Petroleum, Price Waterhouse Coopers, IBM, and General Motors. Mr. Collins serves on several local boards including The Friends of the Library, Prosper Georgetown, and Georgetown Housing Advisory Board. He is an active member of San Gabriel Unitarian Universalist Fellowship where he also serves on the board. He and his wife, Irma, have raised five children in Georgetown. In his free time, Mr. Collins enjoys gardening and creating art from recycled materials.

Lindsay Harris, originally from Houston, moved to Georgetown in 2016 and currently serves as the Chief Strategist of Leadership and Culture for the Georgetown Independent School District. She attended Texas A&M University where she received a BS in Psychology and a Masters in Educational Leadership. Lindsay holds a Superintendent Certificate from Lamar University and is passionate about public education. Her experiences as a Spanish teacher, an assistant principal and dean of instruction, and ten years of serving the Bryan and Georgetown communities as a middle school principal have shown over and over again that schools, families, and communities working together to meet the needs of students is what all children deserve! Ms. Harris enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family. 

Rev. Harriett Jones, is a native Texan, and Senior Pastor of Saving Grace Christian Bible Fellowship in Georgetown. After pursuing a successful modeling career in Hollywood in her post-college years, Rev. Jones returned to Houston where she met her husband, the late Pastor Leroy Jones, Jr.  They were married for 36 years and had two children. The family moved to the Austin area in 1991, and since then Rev. Jones has served in numerous leadership positions for charitable organizations and Christian Ministries throughout Williamson County including the Georgetown Ministerial Alliance and the Pastors Council. In 2005, she and her husband founded Saving Grace Christian Bible Fellowship.  She earned a divinity degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and was ordained in 2014. Rev. Jones has an extensive background in business, leadership, and nonprofit consulting. Rev. Jones is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those around us. In her spare time, Rev. Jones enjoys traveling, fishing, and cooking.

Royce Lindsey, born and raised in Kentucky, moved to Austin in 1968 and has called Georgetown home since 2003. After earning his Bachelor and Master Degrees in Electrical Engineering, Mr. Lindsey worked for Sandia National Laboratory in Albuquerque early in his career, and then for IBM in Lexington and Austin before retiring with 34 years of service. He has an extensive history of volunteer experience, ranging from school and church leadership positions to CASA of Travis County and The Caring Place. Mr. Lindsey has volunteered with The Caring Place since 2008, initially as a Client Advocate, and now assists in our electronics department. He has also represented Crestview Baptist Church on TCP’s Membership Council for several years, serving as Chair of the Council from 2021-2023. Mr. Lindsey has been married to Janice (who also volunteers at TCP) for over 60 years and they have a large family. In addition to spending time with family, he enjoys volunteering at church, as a Gideon, and at The Caring Place.  

Jan Love, born and raised in Illinois, was employed by IBM for 30 years in both Boca Raton, Florida, and Austin, Texas.   She spent most of her career leading global software and hardware teams and enjoyed mentoring many colleagues at IBM through the years.  After retiring in 2014, she moved to Georgetown. Jan began volunteering at The Caring Place within a year of retiring, where she volunteered in multiple areas: Client Services, Pricing, and SOAR (Success through Opportunities and Resources). In the SOAR program, she mentored three clients to complete the yearlong SOAR program.  One of her mentees was selected to share a testimonial at The Caring Place’s fundraising event "Deep in the Heart of Caring" held in 2017. She continues to volunteer in Programs and Services, assisting our neighbors in need. In the past few years, she has also enjoyed using her passion for puzzles and games to sort and price those items to sell in our thrift stores.  In her free time, Jan is a Jazzercise enthusiast, working out 5 days a week and loves traveling to the beach.

Born and raised in Houston, Jen Mauldin, moved to Georgetown in 1998 to accept the principalship at Carver Elementary. In 2013, after an extensive career in education as a Teacher, Diagnostician, and Principal, Ms. Mauldin founded Clarity Through Coaching and is a Leadership and Transition Professional Coach. Ms. Mauldin loves facilitating groups to come to a common understanding or product. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from the University of Texas, a Master’s Degree from Lamar University, and post-graduate certifications from the University of Houston in Mid-Management and Superintendent. Ms. Mauldin is a member of Wellspring United Methodist Church, Seeds of Strength, and a GISD School Board Trustee. She and her husband, Stan, have four grown children. In her free time, Ms. Mauldin loves to garden, travel and spend time with their six grandchildren.

Originally from Florida, Alexis Michael has over 20 years of banking experience, with expertise in both lending and operations management, and currently serves as the President & CEO of First Texas Bank. Ms. Michael is passionate about being an active member of her community and has served in various leadership positions including Commercial Real Estate Women, Central Texas Risk Management Association, and Round Rock Christian Academy. She also volunteers in the children’s ministry at Hill Country Bible Church where she attends with her family. Ms. Michael holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Park University and an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Northwest Florida College. She and her husband, Brian, have lived in the area for the past 19 years, and stay busy raising their two daughters Gracie (15) and Alayna (9) who are active in sports. 

Rev. Paul Partlow, originally from Garland, Texas, has served as the Lead Minister of the Georgetown Church of Christ since 2018. He received his BA in Theology from Austin Graduate School of Theology, and a Masters in Cross Cultural Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. He also has his certifications in Life Coaching and Consulting and Grant Writing. Before his current position, Rev. Partlow served as a Youth Minister in both Georgetown and Lubbock, TX, and then as a Church Planter in San Diego, CA, and Auckland, NZ. He has worked in the nonprofit world for over 25 years and has extensive experience working with people on the margins, as well as with volunteers and donors. Rev. Partlow has created programs in every community he's lived in, which have addressed food insecurity and assisted children and families in need. Rev. Partlow is married to Melanie and in addition to parenting their three boys, he enjoys reading, watching old westerns and kung fu movies, and following his favorite basketball team, the Dallas Mavericks.

A native of Litchfield, Illinois, Glenn Schwab is the Senior Associate Athletic Director at Southwestern University. Mr. Schwab received his undergraduate in Kinesiology and Athletic Training from Eastern Illinois University and his Master’s Degree from West Virginia University. Before moving to Georgetown in 2001, Mr. Schwab worked as Head Athletic Trainer at Rhodes College and Assistant Athletic Trainer at the Virginia Military Institute. He is an active member of Main Street Baptist Church and the SERTOMA Club of Georgetown where he previously served as President and Chairman of the Board. When he has time, Mr. Schwab enjoys woodworking and most outdoor activities including gardening.

Robin P. Stewart

In 2022, Robin Stewart, encouraged by a friend, moved to Georgetown where she soon began volunteering as a cashier at The Caring Place. Originally from Washington D.C., Ms. Stewart’s distinguished career as a Human Resources Professional has taken her from as far northeast as Connecticut to Georgia and California.  She has served on senior leadership teams with corporations including CVS, KB Homes, and most recently, Advanced Bionics, a medical device company. Ms. Stewart earned a BA from Niagara University and an MBA from the University of Hartford. Since retiring and moving to Georgetown, she has focused on being of service to others. As a member of The Worship Place, Robin is active in the church's Women's Ministry including Sister2Sister and leading Bible study classes. She is also a member of Sun City's Women Helping Others chartered club and a part-time employee at Faith in Action Georgetown. Ms. Stewart enjoys music, line dancing, water aerobics, and walking and playing ball with her Shih Tzu, Elmo.

John Stock

Originally from Iowa, John Stock moved to Texas in 1985 and has extensive experience in both private sector and nonprofit management, and he served in the US Navy. After working for 15 years in retail grocery management, Mr. Stock served in various positions with the American Red Cross, which culminated in serving as the Executive Director of the El Paso Chapter, and then as Service Area Executive for the Red Cross Southwest Service Area for several years. He then served The Caring Place as its Executive Director from 2009–2013. Mr. Stock has served on the Board of Directors for several Georgetown nonprofit organizations since 2012, including Georgetown Health Foundation and A Gift of Time. Mr. Stock holds a BAAS Degree from Texas State University. Mr. Stock and his wife, Gayla, moved to Georgetown in 2018. He volunteers with A Gift of Time and The Caring Place, and enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and woodworking. He and Gayla are avid travelers, especially by sea.

John Sullivan

With over twenty-nine years in Public Service, John Sullivan has served as Fire Chief for the City of Georgetown since 2013.  Chief Sullivan’s emergency services career began with EMT certification in Orlando, Florida, and progressed in Tucson, Arizona where he spent two decades working within an evolving response model permitting emergencies to be addressed by the closest and most appropriate resource. Chief Sullivan’s career accelerated as he pursued his passion for ensuring community and firefighter safety working in various capacities including Captain, Battalion Chief, Division Chief, and Assistant Chief.  His formal education includes a B.S. Degree in Business Administration and a Master of Science & Technology Degree in Fire Service Administration from Arizona State University; he also possesses two Associate Degrees, one in Fire Science and one in Paramedicine. In addition to his duties as Fire Chief, he serves on the Commission on Aging and is a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Chief Sullivan is an avid reader, traveler, and foodie who enjoys numerous outdoor sports.

Ian T. Todd

Born and raised in Georgetown, Ian Todd is an attorney and shareholder with Sneed, Vine & Perry’s Georgetown office where he has been provided businesses with legal guidance in litigation and business law matters since 2018. Prior to joining Sneed Vine, Mr. Todd served as a law clerk at two well respected Texas firms and as a judicial extern for Federal Magistrate Judge Manske before beginning his career in Dallas. Mr. Todd graduated from Baylor University, where he also received his M.B.A., and earned his J.D. from Baylor University School of Law.  In his spare time, Mr. Todd enjoys playing golf and catching a show at The Palace. Over the years, Mr. Todd’s family members have volunteered with The Caring Place, and he looks forward to continuing that legacy of service to the Georgetown community.
