Senior Independence Program
The Senior Independence Program (SIP) aims to assist households that are housing-cost burdened, helping people to age in their own homes. This pilot program, which launched in 2025, offers limited financial assistance, as well as an additional service for those with City of Georgetown utilities in partnership with the Good Neighbor Fund.
Households with one person age 65 or older who are on a fixed income might be eligible. All participants are further assessed for additional case management support, to assist them in navigating resources and barriers to services.
If you or someone you know may benefit from this program, please visit us.
If you'd like to help support this program for seniors in our community and live in the City of Georgetown, you might consider giving to the Good Neighbors Fund. You'll find this giving option on your City of Georgetown utility bill.
